Electrolysis is a procedure that removes individual hairs from the face or body. A fine electric probe is inserted into the hair follicle at the surface of the skin to destroy the growth of the hair with chemical or heat energy. There are many factors that influence hair growth, meaning that in order to ensure that all the unwanted hairs are completely and permanently removed from the face or body, there will need to be several visits. The total number of sessions needed to remove hair permanently will vary from person to person, depending on the particular area(s) AND the amount of time spent on each session, but once the hairs are removed, they will be gone forever. The Electrolysis method does not cause much discomfort, but may feel a bit of tingly. A topical anesthetic may be applied in advance to temporary numb the area before the procedure is taken place.
